About Me…

I’m Alicia!

I’m a mother of two, wife to my grad school sweetheart, economist, entrepreneur and financial strategist. Throughout my career, I have built several successful businesses— from an international fundraising practice to a martial arts school! Along the way, I have carved out successful money habits, business practices, investment strategies and a work life balance that has formed the foundation of my and my family’s success. By identifying and aligning my life with the money virtues I now teach to others, I have been able to build a life centered around joy, focus and rejuvenation.

Over the years I have worked hard to create healthy financial portfolios for small businesses, organizations and governments looking to improve their finances, increase profits, attract investors and be in service to their communities. In addition to my private financial wellness practice, I’m also the Director of Investments and Business Relations at RUNWAY, a financial innovation firm based in Oakland California that works to close the racial wealth gap by providing financing and technical assistance to a national portfolio of African American entrepreneurs.

My work reflects my life’s mission: to advance financial justice on the personal and systemic level.

My prior work with The United Nations, USAID, Government of the Dominican Republic, NYU School of Medicine, The Rockefeller University, Rising Tide Capital, amongst others has taught me how organizations, people and even countries thrive when it comes to money management and how to create plans that work. Now I look to bring these financial practices to everyday people and business owners looking to make financial wellness a core part of their life.

Lastly, I’m a life long learner! I hold a Masters Degree concentrating in Economics with a regional focus in Latin America from New York University and a Bachelors Degree in Political Economy from Baruch College. I love math, hiking, travel, social justice work and spending as much time as possible with my family and friends celebrating life.
